Hi everyone.  I just wanted to take a quick moment to let you all know that I ended up having to end the giveaway early.  Apparently, Gerber found it necessary to remove Whistler’s photo from the contest.  The reason?  “The photo did not meet contest guidelines”.  This is what the email that was sent to me said:

The photo you submitted to the Gerber Generation Photo Search did not meet the entry guidelines and cannot be published to the Gerber Generation Gallery. Please review the Gerber Generation Photo Official Rules and submit a different entry.

Common reasons entries are rejected are: • Includes any individual other than the participant’s child • Includes any unclothed child • Contains copyrighted materials owned by others (including photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media) • Contains any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, personal names, e-mail addresses or street addresses • Shows competitive brands • Milestone selected is not depictive of child’s age in photo • Photo did not meet Official Rules posting guidelines

I’m completely baffled – because I’m pretty sure the picture isn’t any of the listed offenses.  At the end of the letter they suggested that I resubmit another photo next month.  HAH!!  I’m speechless.

Oh well.  Don’t fret though – I really really appreciate everyone diligently voting daily for him and all the nice comments you left about how cute he is   It means a lot to me.  I will still be drawing a winner and will announce with the rest of the winners I owe you for the last few giveaways that ended.  I’m still trying to play catchup so hopefully I’ll have an announcement for you guys over the weekend!
